So I purchased a defective Vaio Pro 13, which would not display anything on the screen, however the HDMI output works.
I purchased a whole new screen assembly in the hopes that it would work, however still nothing. I took a flashlight and found that it was the backlight which was dead. SVE15E1ESI - Windows 10 - SNY5001 driver missing
Hello everyone in here!!! For the last three and a half years, I own a SVE15 series which came with windows 8. Today I made a clean installation of Windows 10 Home x64 and everything works just fine. I managed to installed some missing drivers like Sony Shared Library and Sony Wireless State device but there is onw still missing.
Its the Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device Driver which for some reason cannot start the installation.
Does anyone have an opinion? I need this thing in irder...

No backlight at SVD1121Q2EB
Hi, I have a problem with this laptop. I change the LCD screen but when do it the LCD not have backlight. Its a problem with the main board because before I change it, the backlight is correct. Any solution? I have a mainboard MBX-271.

How do you usb boot from SOny Vaio Duo 13?
Windows 10 has been installed in this laptop.
I restarted the laptop and during boot, I pressed F2, F8, F10 and F12 (restarted 4 times).
Nothing works. It just went straight to login screen.
Can anyone help?

@edit - Sony BIOS for new Z (VPC-Z) is now 0WNED!
@edit 2 - For even more advanced options (Overclocking, undervolting!!!) it is needed to disassemble setup executable to figure out where are those items stored. They are definitely inside the setup, but are not accessible even with this unlock.

2 year latter I decide to sell it
I tried 13 inch Asus, HP, DELL over year but I return back in 2014 back to VPCZ i5 8GB ram 128SSD DVD witch works until now as good soldier
but I think I need chance

Hello fellow Sony Vaio user(s).
Us VAIO users will most likely have (and still do) experienced the common and annoying battery drain issue, which Sony has dubbed a 'feature'.
Sure, Lithium ion batteries do suffer some degrading when charged near 100% or fully discharged at 0%, but many here will have experienced the battery draining from 80% (Battery Care on) to 30% (a few days later), which, to everyone here, is NOT beneficial to the battery in any way.

3days ago i closed the laptop and the next day when i opened the screen of the laptopo was black and dont happen anything but i hear is open.

How to install Mod.Bios in VGN-N11?
Hello! I have a laptop VGN-n11m with Phoenix Bios R0030j4. Here (http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...bios-mod-request.480992/page-103#post-6906445) I downloaded the BIOS from VGN-n11H - and want to install it, because it is AHCI supports . But when I run in DOS phlash16.exe /x /s r0030j4.wph getting the message "Platform signature not found in the interface". Differences VGN-n11m from VGN-n11H in the CPU + HDD. What am I doing wrong?
